Changes September 2025#

IT changes#

From the academic year 2024-2025 to 2025-2026 the following changes have been made:

  • Source files for assignments, websites and tools have been moved from GitLab to GitHub (assignments 2025, everything else) to allow open reuse.

  • Each assignment has its own private repo which is linked directly to GitHub classroom to prevent manual copies.

  • Assignment files are automatically converted to a assignment and solution version in a github workflow to prevent manual copies

  • Assignments are shared in a workbook of which source files are shared after grading for consistency

  • The landing page is converted to a jupyterbook for ease of editing

  • Course information is shared on Brightspace to align with other courses

  • New websites are hosted from a github pages server with custom domain mude.citg.tudelft.nl to ease hosting

  • The old websites are moved to archive.mude.citg.tudelft.nl to maintain SSO logins where needed.

  • The textbook now makes uses of the TeachBooks-deploy-book workflow to build all branches of the book online without login required to view those versions.

  • The book contains an overview page showing all the content per week.

  • Big and binary files are moved to a FTP-server to limit the size of the website.

  • A review process will pull requests is used for class material.

Content changes#

  • Numerical modelling have been shifted to week 1.2 and 1.3

  • Ronald Brinkgreve is in charge of numerical modelling

  • Lotfi Massarweh is in charge of uncertainty propagation

  • Marcel Zijlema is in charge of PDE’s, FDM and FVM

  • Nadia Pourmohammadzia is in charge of optimization

  • Oswaldo Morales Napoles is in charge of risk analysis

  • Tom van Woudenberg is in charge of the programming learning line

Organizational changes#

  • Frans van der Meer is module manager

  • Jialei Ding is content manager

  • Tom van Woudenberg is IT manager

  • Rosa Schnebli, Rifa Amaliah Suaedi and Giogi Narashelasvili are TAs working on planning.

  • Teacher feedback sessions are during Friday lunch and during Wednesday lunch only when needed

  • Programming tutorials are held during first hour of Tuesday’s question hour

  • Weights of exams vs assignments are changed
